I hope everyone is having a fine Sunday afternoon. It is a little cloudy and windy here but warm.
Today, I thought I would talk about my Trip to North Carolina. I was so excited to see my two Best Friends that I had not seen in so long. Even if I only saw one for 48 hours. The time spent together now is precious. Everyone is busy and loving life.
I flew out on Wednesday. My bestie picked me up at the airport and we off. We did a lot of errands. And I mean A LOT!!
After a few days of spending time with her and her hubby to be. Everyone started to arrive at the Hotels and little bungalows. They got their Welcome bags with great snacks and a schedule for the wedding day.
Friday was the day the girls checked into the Hotel. We had a lot to do Friday. Check in, run errands, Make sure to have bubbly for the Morning of, and spend the day being pampered and with everyone.
Then it was rehearsal time. Awesome day for weather and practicing with one of the Best wedding planners I have ever met. She was so bubbly and energetic. Made everyone feel comfortable. You could tell she knew what she was doing.
After the Rehearsal Dinner we had a girls night with bubbly and Sex in the City movie. It was good spending time with the girls.
FINALLY THE DAY HAS COME!!!
All of us were to be up at 6 and in our outfits for hair and make up at 7:45 AM sharp. I had make up and then hair really quick. Got a mimosa while getting my hair done. They were very nice. While getting make up done it was down pouring.
The ceremony had arrived and the sun was shinning. Someone was looking down on her while she was getting married to her lovely husband. You couldn’t of asked for a better day or timing of the rain.
Her Father and her. She looked so beautiful. I cried just a little when she had it on. Then I cried like a baby when she was with her father. There is nothing like having your father/daughter dance together. Her family is one of the best families ever. The nicest people. They are all really down to earth. Just like the bride. That’s why I love her as my bestie.
The Husband and Mother. She is a spit fire. I love her as well. She tells it like it is and it is awesome. She is also one of the nicest people that I have ever met. The husband is just like her. He also has a little bit of his father in him too. I just had met them that weekend. They made a great first impression. You raised a great son and daughter (yes he has a sister, she is awesome).
This was one of the best weekends ever. I had the best time even though I got a 2 hour delay at the airport in Raleigh. It sucked.
To my best friend and best friends hubby,
I wish you all the best in your first year of marriage. I know the first year is always the worst. I know you got this though. I can’t wait to see how you guys grow as a couple and mature together. I love you both so much.
Hugs, hugs, and more hugs.
P.S. I can’t wait to see you again.
